If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Rockville and the surrounding Montgomery County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Rockville, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Rockville — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Rockville customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Rockville or the surrounding Montgomery County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Maryland involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Rockville, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Maryland environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Rockville is the county seat of Montgomery County, Maryland, and part of the Washington metropolitan area. According to the 2020 census, the city's population reached 67,117, making it Maryland's fourth-largest incorporated city. Today, Rockville anchors the Interstate 270 Technology Corridor alongside Gaithersburg and Bethesda, hosting numerous software and biotechnology companies as well as federal government institutions. The city has developed into one of Montgomery County's major retail hubs, featuring several upscale shopping centers.
The area's history stretches back thousands of years. Indigenous peoples seasonally inhabited the region as early as 8000 BC, drawn by three creeks—Rock Creek, Cabin John Creek, and Watts Branch—that provided travel routes and hunting grounds. By the first millennium BC, some groups had established year-round agricultural villages, cultivating native plants like sunflowers and marsh elder. Around AD 1200, these communities faced increasing conflict with the Seneca and Susquehannock peoples migrating from the north. By 1700, European colonial pressure had displaced most original inhabitants.
A Native American trail along high ground became the Sinequa Trail, later developing into Rock Creek Main Road, or the Great Road. In the mid-18th century, Lawrence Owen opened a small inn on this strategic location. The town grew slowly, known variously as Owen's Ordinary, Hungerford's Tavern, and Daley's Tavern. When Maryland divided Frederick County in 1776, Rockville was chosen as the seat of the newly created Montgomery County. The town was officially named Rockville in 1803, derived from Rock Creek, and was formally incorporated by the Maryland General Assembly on March 10, 1860.
