If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Elk and the surrounding Spokane County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Elk, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Elk — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Elk customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Elk or the surrounding Spokane County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Washington involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Elk, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Washington environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Elk is an unincorporated rural community nestled in northern Spokane County, Washington, along the Little Spokane River in the foothills of the Selkirk Mountains. The community was originally known as Peddit's Township of Elk and established a post office in 1892, which still operates today on the site of the former Elk Hotel, destroyed by fire in the early 1970s. A one-room schoolhouse was built in 1902, and the area is now served by the Riverside School District, which covers much of rural northern Spokane County.
Elk's history includes a significant tragedy in 1906 when a train derailed into Chain Lake after emerging from a tunnel, killing nine people and injuring many others. The train was recovered a month later, and a second tunnel was subsequently bored through the rock to prevent future accidents. Both tunnels are now decommissioned private property.
Today, Elk maintains its community spirit through Elk Days, held each summer to celebrate Fathers' Day and the town's heritage. The celebration typically takes place at Elk Park and features various vendors, festivities, a car show, and a parade. In August 2023, the community faced a significant challenge when the Oregon Road Fire forced evacuation orders. The human-caused fire burned more than ten thousand acres near Elk, destroyed 126 residences, and resulted in one fatality. The area remains connected to larger towns like Newport and Spokane through U.S. Route 2 and smaller regional roads.
