If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and hand you cash. That's it.
We serve all of Imperial Beach and the surrounding San Diego County area.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Imperial Beach, including:
Three steps from your first call to cash in hand. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time. Same-day is usually available. We come right to you in Imperial Beach — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and hands you cash before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Imperial Beach customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we can usually get a truck out to you the same day — especially if you're anywhere in Imperial Beach or the surrounding San Diego County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Call before noon and we'll do everything we can to make it happen that afternoon.
Transferring a car in California involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Imperial Beach, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all California environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Imperial Beach is a beach city in San Diego County, California, and the southernmost city in California and the entire West Coast of the United States. Located 14.1 miles south of downtown San Diego and just 5 miles northwest of downtown Tijuana, Mexico, Imperial Beach sits on the traditional territory of the Kumeyaay people, who established the village of Alyshuwii in the area. The city was founded in June 1887, taking its name from Imperial County, a desert region 100 miles to the east. Farmers and land owners from the Imperial Valley were drawn to the cooler coastal climate during the late 1880s. The construction of the Hotel del Coronado in nearby Coronado in 1887 brought over 2,000 laborers to the region, many of whom settled permanently in Imperial Beach. The city officially incorporated in 1956, establishing its own government and services including a fire department and police department, though it later contracted policing through the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
In recent decades, Imperial Beach has worked to revitalize itself for visitors and commerce. Beginning in 2004, the city implemented a community redevelopment plan focused on improving the commercial corridor along Palm Avenue and Seacoast Drive. A significant milestone came in December 2013 when the Pier South Resort, a 22 million dollar hotel, was completed on the former site of the Seacoast Inn after demolition began in 2010. As of 2020, the city had a population of 26,137 residents who enjoy the mild climate that keeps temperatures comfortable year-round.
