If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and hand you cash. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Bonita and the surrounding San Diego County area — running or not, any make, any model, free same-day towing.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Bonita, including:
Three steps from your first call to cash in hand. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time. Same-day is usually available. We come right to you in Bonita — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and hands you cash before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Bonita customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we can usually get a truck out to you the same day — especially if you're anywhere in Bonita or the surrounding San Diego County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Call before noon and we'll do everything we can to make it happen that afternoon.
Transferring a car in California involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Bonita, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all California environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Bonita, whose name means "beautiful" in Spanish, is a census-designated place in southern San Diego County nestled between Chula Vista, National City, and San Diego. With a population of 12,917 at the 2020 census, the community occupies approximately five miles of the Lower Sweetwater Valley, stretching along the Sweetwater River and its surrounding hills.
The area has deep historical roots. Before Spanish arrival, the Kumeyaay people inhabited the region, calling it Apusquel. Following the establishment of Mission San Diego de Alcalá, the valley was used for cattle raising. After Mexican independence, the land became part of a grant to John Forster. In 1884, rancher Henry Ernest Cooper, Sr. owned the Bonita ranch, which gave the area its current name. The community became known for lemon cultivation beginning in 1871, eventually originating the Bonnie Brae Lemon variety.
The construction of Sweetwater Dam in 1888 transformed the region's geography dramatically. However, in 1906, the dam broke due to heavy rains, completely flooding the Lower Sweetwater Valley. Bonita has continued to experience minor flooding throughout its history during high seasonal rains.
Modern Bonita developed significantly between the 1960s and 1980s with numerous housing tracts. Major infrastructure projects, including Interstate 805, State Route 54, and State Route 125, shaped the community's twentieth-century development. In 2007, Glen Abbey Memorial Park was designated a historic district, recognized for its architectural significance. Today, residents benefit from access to local schools, parks, and the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center operated by the Bonita Historical Society, which preserves the area's rich heritage for current and future generations.
