There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Del Mar, including:

Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time. Same-day is usually available. We come right to you in Del Mar — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and hands you cash before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Del Mar customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we can usually get a truck out to you the same day — especially if you're anywhere in Del Mar or the surrounding San Diego County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Call before noon and we'll do everything we can to make it happen that afternoon.
Transferring a car in California involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Del Mar, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all California environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Del Mar's story begins with the California Southern Railroad, which brought Theodore M. Loop, a railroad official from New York, to the area in 1882. Loop and his wife Ella fell in love with the coastal landscape, and Ella named the settlement after a poem by Bayard Taylor. In 1885, Loop partnered with Colonel Jacob Taylor, a prosperous rancher, to establish a seaside resort. Taylor purchased 338 acres and envisioned attracting the wealthy and famous to this beautiful stretch of coast. By 1888, about 25 homes had been built, and the town established its first dedicated school, replacing the practice of teaching students in barns. However, development suffered a severe blow when Taylor's hotel burned down in a kitchen fire, and subsequent flooding devastated Southern California, isolating Del Mar and triggering an economic recession that forced Taylor to leave.
The town revived in the early twentieth century when the South Coast Land Company acquired the land and hired prominent Los Angeles architect John C. Austin to design the Stratford Inn around 1910, named to evoke Shakespeare's home. The distinctive Tudor Revival style, unusual for the region, attracted Hollywood's silent film stars during the 1920s. The construction of the San Diego County Fair in 1936 and the Del Mar Race Track in 1937, backed by actor Bing Crosby, transformed the city into a major attraction. The racetrack's famous slogan, "where the turf meets the surf," captured the town's unique character. After World War II service as a naval facility, Del Mar incorporated in 1959 to preserve its distinctive small-town identity, a commitment reflected in its population of fewer than four thousand residents today.
