If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Kirkwood and the surrounding Broome County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Kirkwood, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Kirkwood — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Kirkwood customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Kirkwood or the surrounding Broome County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in New York involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Kirkwood, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all New York environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Kirkwood is a town in Broome County, New York, with a population of 5,495 as of the 2020 census. The town takes its name from James P. Kirkwood, the civil engineer who built the local railroad. Located approximately ten miles southeast of Binghamton, Kirkwood sits within the Binghamton Metropolitan Area and borders Pennsylvania to the south, with Interstate 81 and New York Route 7 passing through its boundaries.
The area's recorded history begins around 1781, when Jonathan Fitch constructed a water-powered gristmill at what is now Fivemile Point, making him the first known settler. Others soon followed, establishing themselves along the Susquehanna River and developing the region into an agrarian community. Before its independence, Kirkwood was part of the larger town of Conklin, but the Susquehanna River separated the two areas, making it difficult to conduct government business, especially during harsh winter weather. Even after the construction of a bridge in the nineteenth century, officials decided to establish Kirkwood as an independent town in November 1859.
The Susquehanna River remains central to Kirkwood's geography, forming its western border and creating a natural connection to neighboring communities. The river's presence, however, also brings challenges. In June 2006 and again in September 2011, the river overflowed its banks, causing significant damage to hundreds of homes throughout the town. Today, Kirkwood encompasses 31.2 square miles and includes several hamlets, with Kirkwood Village serving as the largest community within town boundaries.
