Hodgen is an unincorporated community located in Le Flore County, Oklahoma. The community was named after James M. Hodgens, a railroad official, though the original spelling of the community name included the final "s." The post office serving Hodgen was established on April 25, 1910, marking an important milestone in the community's development and connection to the wider region.
According to the 2020 census, Hodgen had a population of 62 residents. The community is entirely rural, with all residents living in rural areas rather than urban settings. The median age of residents was 42.3 years, with approximately 24.2 percent under the age of 18 and 22.6 percent aged 65 or older. The population showed a higher proportion of males than females, with 129.6 males for every 100 females.
