If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Smithfield and the surrounding Providence County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Smithfield, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Smithfield — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Smithfield customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Smithfield or the surrounding Providence County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Rhode Island involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Smithfield, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Rhode Island environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Smithfield is a town in Providence County, Rhode Island, with a 2020 population of 22,118. Incorporated in 1731, it encompasses the historic villages of Esmond, Georgiaville, Mountaindale, Spragueville, Stillwater, and Greenville. The area was first settled in 1663 as a farming community by British colonists including John Steere and was originally part of Providence until the General Assembly established it as a separate municipality. According to town records, Smithfield was named after John Smith, an early settler of Providence who received land from Roger Williams.
During the eighteenth century, Smithfield became home to an influential Quaker community that played a significant role in the abolition movement. Notable members included Effingham Capron and Abby Kelley Foster. The town also produced important figures in social reform, including abolitionist and women's rights advocate Elizabeth Buffum Chace, who was born there.
The Industrial Revolution transformed Smithfield from an agricultural center into a manufacturing hub. Cotton mills sprang up along the Woonasquatucket River, with nine mills operating by 1819. To support this industrial growth, the town built three reservoirs to provide stable water supplies. By 1876, the number of mills had grown to twenty. As the town expanded, portions were separated to form North Smithfield and Lincoln in 1871, followed by Central Falls in 1895.
Today, Smithfield is home to Bryant University, a private four-year institution that relocated to its current 428-acre campus in 1971 after Tupperware founder Earl Silas Tupper, a Bryant alumnus, donated the land.
