If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Rumford and the surrounding Providence County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Rumford, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Rumford — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Rumford customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Rumford or the surrounding Providence County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Rhode Island involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Rumford, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Rhode Island environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Rumford is the northern section of East Providence in Providence County, Rhode Island, bordered by Seekonk, Massachusetts to the east, Pawtucket to the north, and the Ten Mile River to the south. With a population of 8,350 as of 2020, this neighborhood has maintained a distinct community identity since 1643, when Newman Congregational Church established a separate parish in the area. Rumford's history spans three towns and two states, having been part of Rehoboth and Seekonk in Massachusetts before becoming part of Rhode Island in 1862.
The town's name reflects its industrial heritage. In the mid-nineteenth century, Harvard chemist Eben Norton Horsford, holder of the Rumford Chair of Physics since 1847, developed the first practical calcium phosphate baking powder. He co-founded Rumford Chemical Works in 1859, naming it after his benefactor Sir Benjamin Thompson, Count Rumford. The manufacturing facility and its associated post office established Rumford's current identity as a named community.
Beyond manufacturing, Rumford developed into a center for recreation and culture. Wannamoisett Country Club was established in 1898 on land rented from the chemical works and has become known for hosting the Northeast Amateur Invitational Golf Tournament annually. The club gained national prominence in 1931 when it hosted the PGA Championship. Today, approximately 150 acres of the Rumford area, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, preserve the historic character of old Seekonk and the nineteenth-century center of East Providence.
