Though the park closed decades ago, the celebrated 1895 Crescent Park Looff Carousel, recognized as a masterpiece of wood sculpture, continues to delight visitors each summer.
Riverside's tourist boom spawned numerous hotels, guest houses, and shore dinner halls throughout the late nineteenth century, including the Vue de l'Eau Hotel, the four-story Riverside Hotel, Pomham House, and the Silver Spring Hotel. Two additional amusement parks, Boyden Heights and Vanity Fair, also emerged in the early nineteen hundreds but closed due to low attendance.
