If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Gould City and the surrounding Mackinac County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Gould City, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Gould City — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Gould City customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Gould City or the surrounding Mackinac County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Michigan involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Gould City, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Michigan environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Gould City is an unincorporated community in Mackinac County, Michigan, located within Newton Township about thirty miles east of Manistique. The community was first settled in 1886 by Sam Stiles, a lumberman who also operated a grocery store and named the settlement after the Gould family, early commercial fishermen and fellow lumbermen on the northern Lake Michigan shoreline. The post office opened on September 26, 1888, under postmaster Adolph Highstone and has operated continuously since. By 1893, a railway station along the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad connected the growing community to broader markets. The lumber boom arrived by 1905, and at its peak around 1910, Gould City had approximately two hundred permanent residents and contained numerous sawmills, two churches, two hotels, two saloons, and various small businesses. A devastating fire in 1929 destroyed many buildings, fundamentally altering the community's character. The lumber industry, which had sustained Gould City through the early twentieth century, continued into the 1930s before declining. In the 1940s, U.S. Route 2 was constructed just north of the community, providing major regional transportation. Today, the Community Presbyterian Church remains from the original two churches, while McNeil's Bar occupies a building that once served as Charles May's hotel. May was a local resident who later served in the Michigan House of Representatives. The railway line operates under Canadian National Railway but no longer stops at Gould City. The community maintains its own post office with ZIP Code 49838.
