Deale is a census-designated place in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, situated on the Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. With a population of approximately 4,945 residents, it has developed into a thriving waterfront community known for its scenic bay views and recreational opportunities.

By 1960, some watermen became charter fishing captains, offering trips on the Chesapeake Bay to visitors from Baltimore and Washington D.C.
