A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Tawas City, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Tawas City — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Tawas City customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Tawas City or the surrounding Iosco County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Michigan involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Tawas City, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Michigan environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Tawas City is the county seat of Iosco County in Michigan, located on the shores of Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron. With a population of 1,834 at the 2020 census, this small city was founded in 1854 as the first city to be established on these shores north of Bay City. The first post office opened on January 6, 1856, under postmaster James O. Whittemore.
The city's history is deeply connected to its natural setting and resources. The forests, waters, and wildlife of the region, combined with the protected harbor of Tawas Bay, drew settlers and inspired the development of a lumber industry. The community grew in a linear fashion along the bayshore, which remains a harbor of refuge for large freighters seeking shelter from Lake Huron storms.
The name Tawas comes from Chief O-ta-was, a leader of a Chippewa band from Saginaw who camped along the bay's shore. Early mapmakers altered the spelling over time, eventually resulting in the modern name. The Whittemores founded Tawas City proper, while eight years later a second mill operation by Smith, Van Valkenburg and Company developed a nearby settlement that became known as East Tawas. Residents traditionally distinguished between the two communities, calling Tawas City the "old town" and East Tawas the "east town."
Today, Tawas City remains mostly surrounded by Tawas Township, though the two areas operate independently, preserving the distinct character this small waterfront community has maintained for over 170 years.
