We Do It Right — Every Time

We Pay What We Quote — Guaranteed

Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Rocky Ridge customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.

Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.

What Happens to Your Car

After we buy your vehicle in Rocky Ridge, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Maryland environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

A Little About Rocky Ridge

The Story of Rocky Ridge, MD

Rocky Ridge is an unincorporated community in Frederick County, Maryland, whose name likely derives from a ridge of ironstone running through the area. Originally settled by several families by the mid-18th century, the community was initially known as Ogleton after the Ogle family. Throughout most of its history, Rocky Ridge has functioned as a crossroads village, centered at the intersection of what are now Maryland Route 76 and Maryland Route 77.

The arrival of railroads in the latter half of the nineteenth century proved transformative for the community. The Western Maryland Railway reached Rocky Ridge in 1870, the same year the town established its post office. Two years later, in 1875, the Emmitsburg Railroad connected with the Western Maryland Railway at this location. The railroads became so integral to Rocky Ridge's identity that the local stretch of Maryland Route 76 was named Motters Station Road in honor of Joshua Motter, president of the Emmitsburg Railroad. By the mid-nineteenth century, Rocky Ridge supported two active church congregations, reflecting its growing significance as a settlement.

The community's historic character is preserved in structures recognized for their importance. Old Mill Road Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, while Loys Station Covered Bridge, situated between Rocky Ridge and Thurmont, received its listing in 1978. In more recent times, Rocky Ridge has become known for the "Big Slide," a distinctive forty-foot wooden slide built by volunteers in 1950 and located in Mount Tabor Park, which was established by Mount Tabor Church in the early twentieth century.
