If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Riley and the surrounding Harney County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Riley, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Riley — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Riley customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Riley or the surrounding Harney County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Oregon involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Riley, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Oregon environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Riley is an unincorporated community in Harney County, Oregon, situated at the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and U.S. Highway 20, approximately 28 miles west of Burns. The town sits at an elevation of 4,226 feet in a semi-arid climate. Today, Riley consists of three service establishments with attached apartments: a post office, a general store with gas pump, and a small mom-and-pop campground offering RV hookup sites. The campground and hobby farm operates on donations to support habitat restoration and animal rescue efforts while serving as a wildlife refuge.
Riley's history began around 1885 with the establishment of a post office, named after stockman Amos Riley of the ranching partnership Riley and Hardin. The post office served people living along Silver Creek who had previously traveled 75 miles northwest to Hardin for postal services. The original post office closed in 1919 but reopened in 1949 after an office at Suntex was closed. The surrounding area supports agricultural activity, with farmers growing alfalfa, hay, and root crops.
In modern times, Riley remains a modest crossroads community. The Eastern POINT intercity bus line serves the town with one daily stop in each direction connecting Bend and Ontario. Students attend Suntex Elementary School for K-8 education and Crane Union High School for high school. A camera operated by the Oregon Department of Transportation at the highway intersection monitors road and weather conditions for travelers.
