If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Pony and the surrounding Madison County area — running or not, any make, any model, free same-day towing.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Pony, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Pony — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Pony customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Pony or the surrounding Madison County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Montana involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Pony, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Montana environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Pony is an unincorporated community and census-designated place located in northeastern Madison County, Montana, nestled on the eastern edge of the Tobacco Root Mountains. Today it is home to 127 residents according to the 2020 census, a far cry from its prosperous past as a gold-mining boomtown.
The community gained its distinctive name from one of its early miners, Tecumseth Smith, a man nicknamed "Pony" because of his small stature. Settled in the 1860s, Pony flourished during the late nineteenth century as a mining center, swelling to at least 5,000 residents at its height. However, mining operations began to decline in the early twentieth century, with all operations ceasing by 1922.
Despite the end of mining, Pony's rich history remains visible in its landscape. The town encompasses the Pony Historic District, a 192-acre area containing 95 contributing buildings that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many of these structures from the boom era still stand today, preserved through the dedicated efforts of the Pony Homecoming Club, a nonprofit organization that voluntarily manages major buildings and maintains the town's public spaces.
Located six miles southwest of Harrison, Pony is accessible via Montana Highway 283, which connects to U.S. Route 287. North Willow Creek runs through the community, eventually joining the Jefferson River south of Three Forks. The area continues to serve as home to residents and visitors interested in Montana's mining heritage.
