Why Joe's Cash For Cars in New Ulm?

We Do It Right — Every Time

We Pay What We Quote — Guaranteed

Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from New Ulm customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.

Scheduling Your Pickup in New Ulm

Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in New Ulm or the surrounding Brown County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.

We Handle All the Paperwork

Transferring a car in Minnesota involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.

What Happens to Your Car

After we buy your vehicle in New Ulm, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Minnesota environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

A Little About New Ulm

The Story of New Ulm, MN

New Ulm, the county seat of Brown County, Minnesota, is a city of approximately 14,120 residents situated where the Minnesota River and Cottonwood River converge. The city was founded in 1854 by the German Land Company of Chicago and named after Ulm in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its development was shaped significantly by the Turner movement, a German-American organization emphasizing physical fitness and intellectual engagement. In 1856, the Settlement Association of the Socialist Turner Society supplied capital and hundreds of colonists to secure the community's future, helping create a town with distinctive philosophical and social character. Christian Prignitz's master plan, filed in 1858, reflected Turner ideals by placing Turner Hall, the courthouse, and public school at the community's heart, while avenues honored American freethinkers like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.

New Ulm's early years were marked by tragedy during the US-Dakota War of 1862. Attacked on August 19 by a Mdewakanton force, townspeople repelled the assault but faced a larger return attack on August 23. Although volunteer militia under Charles Flandrau helped defend the city, most buildings outside the barricades were destroyed, and the population evacuated to Mankato on August 25. A devastating tornado struck on July 15, 1881, killing six people and injuring fifty-three.

Today, New Ulm reflects its rich heritage through landmarks including the Hermann Heights Monument, Flandrau State Park, and the historic August Schell Brewing Company. The city remains home to the Diocese of New Ulm and the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame.
