If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Mayer and the surrounding Carver County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Mayer, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Mayer — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Mayer customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Mayer or the surrounding Carver County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Minnesota involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Mayer, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Minnesota environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Mayer is a city located in Carver County, Minnesota, situated along the South Fork of the Crow River. With a population of 2,453 according to the 2020 census, Mayer has experienced significant growth over the past two decades, more than quadrupling its population from 554 residents in 2000. The city covers 1.42 square miles and is served by Minnesota State Highway 25 as a main route, with State Highway 7 passing nearby.
The community traces its origins to 1875, when a post office was first established under the name Helvetia. Thirteen years later, in 1888, railroad officials renamed the settlement Mayer, a name the city has carried ever since. Today, Mayer remains a rural community with strong family ties, as evidenced by census data showing that approximately half of all households include children under age eighteen and nearly seventy percent are married-couple households.
Mayer takes considerable pride in its baseball heritage through the Mayer Blazers, a team with roots extending back nearly one hundred years. The community formally organized the Mayer Baseball Club during the Depression era in the early 1930s, and the team began league play in 1935 after the city council purchased land for a ballpark. Since 1943, the Blazers have made seven state tournament appearances, including a second-place finish in the Class A state tournament in 1945 and a third-place showing in 1973. Local baseball legend Clarence Guetzkow was elected to the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976 for his dedication to the sport in Mayer and the broader Minnesota amateur baseball community.
