If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and hand you cash. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Mayer and the surrounding Yavapai County area — running or not, any make, any model, free same-day towing.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Mayer, including:
Three steps from your first call to cash in hand. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time. Same-day is usually available. We come right to you in Mayer — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and hands you cash before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Mayer customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we can usually get a truck out to you the same day — especially if you're anywhere in Mayer or the surrounding Yavapai County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Call before noon and we'll do everything we can to make it happen that afternoon.
Transferring a car in Arizona involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Mayer, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Arizona environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Mayer is a census-designated place in Yavapai County, Arizona, with roots reaching back to its original Yavapai name, Wi:kidoʼyoʼ. Local legend attributes the English name to a runaway boy with the last name of Mayer. The community has grown modestly over the decades, with a population of 1,408 at the 2000 census and 1,558 by 2020, maintaining its rural character across 20.1 square miles with a semi-arid climate.
Mayer holds significant historical importance. During World War II, from May to June 1942, the Mayer Assembly Center temporarily confined 245 Japanese Americans, primarily 69 families from Maricopa County's Salt River Valley. They lived in military-style barracks at a converted Civilian Conservation Corps camp before transfer to the permanent internment camp at Poston, Arizona. The town also preserves its heritage through three sites on the National Register of Historic Places: the Mayer Apartments, the Mayer Business Block, and the Mayer Red Brick Schoolhouse.
More recently, Mayer faced natural disaster when the Goodwin Fire sparked on June 24, 2017, in the nearby Bradshaw Mountains. The wildfire burned 28,516 acres and prompted evacuation of more than 9,000 residents across the region. Highway 69 closed between Mayer and Dewey-Humboldt, and the fire destroyed approximately five structures while injuring one firefighter. Today, Mayer remains home to the Mayer Unified School District and is served by the Yavapai County Free Library District.
