If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Laie and the surrounding Honolulu County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Laie, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Laie — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Laie customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Laie or the surrounding Honolulu County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Hawaii involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Laie, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Hawaii environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Lāʻie is a census-designated place in the Koolauloa District on Oʻahu in Honolulu County, with a population of 5,963 at the 2020 census. The name derives from Hawaiian words meaning leaf and a red-spiked climbing screwpine sacred to Kāne and Laka in Hawaiian mythology. Long before European contact, Lāʻie held deep spiritual significance as a puʻuhonua, or city of refuge, where fugitives could seek sanctuary from their pursuers. Once inside, no one could harm them without facing death from sanctuary priests. Fugitives could eventually choose to serve the priests or leave unmolested after a set time. These traditional cities of refuge were abolished in 1819. The community contained at least two heiau, or Hawaiian temples, though little remains today.
The Great Mahele of 1846 to 1848 transformed land ownership when King Kamehameha III redistributed Hawaiian lands. Lāʻie was part of an ahupuaʻa, a traditional land division shaped like a slice of pie from mountains to ocean. The area was remarkably well-watered, with ten streams flowing through before 1865, more than any neighboring ahupuaʻa. A new era began in 1865 when George Nebeker, president of the Latter-day Saints Hawaiian Mission, purchased the Lāʻie plantation. The church encouraged its members to settle there, though the sugarcane plantation required substantial subsidy. Notably, Lāʻie was one of the few plantations where both taro and sugar were grown together, an unusual practice given both crops' high water demands.
