If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.

A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Gates, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Gates — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Gates customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Gates or the surrounding Marion County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Oregon involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Gates, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Oregon environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Gates is a small city straddling the border of Linn and Marion counties in southeastern Oregon, with a population of 548 as of the 2020 census. Though split between two counties, the greater part of Gates and its primary jurisdiction fall within Marion County, connecting it to the Salem Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city's origins trace back to 1882, when the first post office opened on the south side of the North Santiam River under the name Henness, after its first postmaster Jane Henness. The post office eventually relocated to the north side of the river and was reestablished as Gates on February 12, 1892, honoring Mary Gates, one of the area's oldest settlers. Gates was formally incorporated in 1950.
The city sits at the western edge of the Cascade Range, with Oregon Route 22 connecting it westward 34 miles to Salem and eastward 17 miles up the North Santiam valley to Detroit. Gates experiences warm summers with no average monthly temperatures above 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit, classified as having a warm-summer Mediterranean climate.
In recent history, Gates gained prominence during the Beachie Creek Fire, which began on August 16, 2020. Initially estimated at 469 acres, the fire rapidly expanded to 131,000 acres following a historic windstorm on September 7, forcing firefighters to evacuate their encampment there and causing extensive damage to the town.
