If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Dexter and the surrounding Lane County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Dexter, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Dexter — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Dexter customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Dexter or the surrounding Lane County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Oregon involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Dexter, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Oregon environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Dexter is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Lane County, Oregon, situated near Dexter Lake, a reservoir of the Middle Fork Willamette River along Oregon Route 58. According to the 2020 census, Dexter had a population of 893 residents.
The area offers several attractions for visitors and outdoor enthusiasts. Dexter State Recreation Site provides access to Dexter Lake, which is popular for fishing and boating. The nearby Dexter Lake Club holds a place in popular culture history, having been used during the filming of a road trip scene in the 1978 movie Animal House. The Parvin Bridge, a covered bridge that carries Parvin Road over Lost Creek near Dexter, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Additionally, the Lost Valley Educational Center, an intentional community, is located in the area.
Despite being an unincorporated community without a city government, Dexter residents demonstrated strong civic engagement in 2002 by opening a public library called the Cascades Foothills Library. As of August 2006, community members were working toward expanding it into a regional library.
The locality has roots reaching back to the nineteenth century. A post office was established in 1872 under the name "Butte Disappointment," named after a local landmark designated in 1848. The post office was renamed "Dexter" in 1875, apparently taking its name from the Dexter brand cook stove that belonged to the postmaster's family.
