A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Clayton, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Clayton — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Clayton customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Clayton or the surrounding Custer County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Idaho involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Clayton, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Idaho environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Clayton, a small city in Custer County, Idaho, was founded in 1881 as a smelter site to process ore from nearby mines. Today it stands as the smallest incorporated city in both Idaho and the United States, covering just 0.01 square miles. The community sits adjacent to the Salmon River along State Highway 75, the Salmon River Scenic Byway, positioned between Stanley to the west and Challis to the northeast.
The Clayton Silver Mine, located in the Bayhorse Mining District, shaped much of the region's history. Discovered in 1877, the mine became one of Idaho's most significant producers of silver, lead, and zinc outside the Coeur d'Alene district. After the Clark Mining Company began development in 1927, the property operated largely from 1935 to 1986, eventually producing approximately 7 million troy ounces of silver, along with substantial quantities of lead, zinc, copper, and gold from roughly 2.1 million tonnes of ore. The operation finally ceased in 1986 due to low metal prices, though mineralized zones remained at the time of closure.
Clayton's population has remained quite small. The 2020 census recorded 10 residents, a slight increase from 7 in 2010. The area experiences a humid continental climate with significant seasonal temperature variations, featuring warm summers and cold winters. Today, Clayton represents a quiet remnant of Idaho's mining heritage, its modest size belying its historical importance to the state's mineral extraction industry.
