A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Amalia, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Amalia — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Amalia customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Amalia or the surrounding Taos County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in New Mexico involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Amalia, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all New Mexico environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Amalia is an unincorporated community in Taos County, New Mexico, situated in a valley nestled between the mountains of the Sangre de Cristo range, near the Colorado border on State Road 196. Costilla Creek runs alongside the settlement. The community was established in 1849 by settlers who arrived through the Sangre de Cristo Land Grant. Originally known as Pina, possibly derived from the Spanish word for pine, the town was renamed Amalia in 1919 following the establishment of its post office in 1900.
The settlement's early history was marked by persistent struggles over land ownership. In 1902, the Defensive Association of the Land Settlers of Rio Costilla formed to protect settlers' land rights, leading to numerous court battles between 1902 and 1921, most of which ruled against the settlers. Though the association disbanded in 1921, residents continued their fight, ultimately succeeding in 1942 when a Farm Security Administration loan enabled them to repurchase their land. The Rio Costilla Cooperative Livestock Association, established around the same time and composed largely of the children of original association members, continues to advocate for settlers and manages a portion of the grant.
Today, Amalia offers diverse outdoor recreation opportunities including fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, camping, and wildlife viewing. The Ute Creek Ranch operates as a horse boarding and training facility offering instruction in dressage, jumping, and natural horsemanship. According to the 2020 census, the community's ZIP code area population was 213, down from 558 in 1940. Residents are served by the Questa Independent School District.
