Why Joe's Cash For Cars in Struthers?

We Do It Right — Every Time

We Pay What We Quote — Guaranteed

Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Struthers customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.

Scheduling Your Pickup in Struthers

Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Struthers or the surrounding Mahoning County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.

We Handle All the Paperwork

Transferring a car in Ohio involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.

What Happens to Your Car

After we buy your vehicle in Struthers, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Ohio environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

A Little About Struthers

The Story of Struthers, OH

Struthers is a city in eastern Mahoning County, Ohio, situated along the Mahoning River about four miles west of the Pennsylvania border. With a population of 10,063 at the 2020 census, it serves as a suburb within the Youngstown-Warren metropolitan area, located directly southeast of Youngstown.

The city's history began in 1798 when John Struthers from Washington County, Pennsylvania, purchased four hundred acres of Poland Township land and named it Marbletown. The early community centered on Yellow Creek, where the Hopewell Furnace was built in 1803 by Daniel Eaton, marking the cradle of steel production in the region. However, John Struthers and his family suffered financial ruin during the War of 1812, leaving the land dormant until 1865. Thomas Struthers then purchased the property to honor his father and played an instrumental role in bringing industry and railroads to the town. The community eventually adopted the Struthers name by popular vote.

Industrial development accelerated in the late nineteenth century with the construction of the Anna Furnace in 1869, followed by additional mills and manufacturing plants in the 1880s. The completion of an interurban electric line in 1899 improved connections to Youngstown and the upper Mahoning Valley. Though still a village of fewer than one thousand residents, Struthers was officially incorporated in 1902 and quickly became a city in 1920 as European immigrants flooded in during the steel industry boom. The steel industry sustained the city's growth until 1977, when several area plants closed, prompting the city to diversify its industrial base to offset significant job losses.
