If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Sparta and the surrounding Kent County area — running or not, any make, any model, free same-day towing.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Sparta, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Sparta — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Sparta customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Sparta or the surrounding Kent County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Michigan involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Sparta, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Michigan environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Sparta is a village located in Kent County, Michigan, about ten miles north of Grand Rapids and part of the greater Grand Rapids metropolitan area. Home to 4,244 residents according to the 2020 census, Sparta occupies 2.56 square miles with the Rogue River flowing through its eastern portion and Michigan State Route 37 running along its western edge.
The area was first settled in 1844, with the township formally organized two years later. Jonathan Nash, the first settler in what became the village, arrived in 1846 and built a sawmill on Lick Creek, which he renamed Nash Creek. Originally calling his settlement Nashville, Nash accepted the state legislature's suggestion of Sparta when another Michigan town already claimed that name. The village was platted in 1867 and incorporated in 1883.
During World War II, Sparta hosted a German prisoner of war camp. With many local farmhands away serving in the military, the prisoners were employed as farm laborers. They were treated well enough that some later wrote letters to the farm owner expressing gratitude for their experience. In the 1960s, Sparta became home to Fenton Records, an independent record label and recording studio that documented local and Michigan garage bands. The limited vinyl pressings from Fenton Records became highly collectible, often commanding hundreds of dollars per 45-rpm record, and their catalog was later preserved on a compilation CD titled Scream Loud!!!: The Fenton Records Story.
