If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and hand you cash. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Smyrna and the surrounding Kent County area — running or not, any make, any model, free same-day towing.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Smyrna, including:
Three steps from your first call to cash in hand. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time. Same-day is usually available. We come right to you in Smyrna — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and hands you cash before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Smyrna customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we can usually get a truck out to you the same day — especially if you're anywhere in Smyrna or the surrounding Kent County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Call before noon and we'll do everything we can to make it happen that afternoon.
Transferring a car in Delaware involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Smyrna, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Delaware environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Smyrna is a town located in both Kent and New Castle counties in Delaware. The portion within Kent County is part of the Dover metropolitan statistical area, while the section in New Castle County connects to the Philadelphia metropolitan area. According to the 2020 census, Smyrna has a population of 12,883.
Originally known as Duck Creek Cross Roads, the town was renamed Smyrna in 1806 after the ancient Greek seaport. Situated along King's Highway, Smyrna developed as an important shipping center along Duck Creek, becoming the most significant port between Wilmington and Lewes during the nineteenth century. Ships from Smyrna carried grain, lumber, tanbark, and produce northward to distant markets. When the shipping industry collapsed in the 1850s, the town transitioned to agricultural production and has maintained that character since.
Smyrna's historical significance is reflected in numerous properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Smyrna Historic District, Bannister Hall, Belmont Hall, and several historic farms and houses that preserve the area's heritage. The town has also produced notable figures, including international jurist John Bassett Moore and politicians Louis McLane and James Williams.
Today, Smyrna covers 3.8 square miles and experiences a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild to cool winters. The town is served by Delaware Route 1, a toll road, and US Route 13, which runs north–south through the community on Dupont Boulevard. Public transportation is available through DART First State bus service, connecting Smyrna to Dover, Wilmington, and Middletown.
