If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.

A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Raton, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Raton — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Raton customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Raton or the surrounding Colfax County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in New Mexico involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Raton, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all New Mexico environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Raton, the county seat of Colfax County in northeastern New Mexico, sits just south of Raton Pass, about six and a half miles from the Colorado border. The city's name comes from the Spanish word for mouse. The pass and surrounding landscape have carried this name for centuries, as Spanish explorers and Native Americans used Raton Pass to traverse the Rocky Mountains long before the city's founding. The mountain branch of the Santa Fe Trail, a crucial trade route, runs through present-day Raton along what is now Business I-25. The city was established in 1880 when the original 320 acres were purchased from the Maxwell Land Grant at the site of Willow Springs, a Santa Fe Trail stop. The post office had previously been called Willow Springs and then Otero before taking the name Raton in 1880. Development accelerated when the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway purchased a local toll road in 1879 and established a rail line through the area. Raton quickly became a railroad, mining, and ranching center for northeastern New Mexico territory. Today, the city covers eight square miles and had a population of 6,041 at the 2020 census. Raton offers visitors a unique geological feature: the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary, visible in Climax Canyon Park, where rocks preserve evidence of the meteorite impact that ended the dinosaur era sixty-six million years ago.
