A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Poultney, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Poultney — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Poultney customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Poultney or the surrounding Rutland County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Vermont involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Poultney, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Vermont environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Poultney, located in Rutland County in southwestern Vermont with New York on its western border and Castleton to the north, is a town with deep historical roots and a distinctive character shaped by its past. Chartered on September 21, 1761, by Royal Governor Benning Wentworth and named after British politician William Pulteney, 1st Earl of Bath, Poultney was first settled in 1771 by Thomas Ashley and Ebenezer Allen, who established themselves near the Poultney River. The town's early growth was hampered by disputes between New York and New Hampshire over Vermont land claims, but it persevered. During the American Revolutionary War, nearly all males in Poultney supported the cause, and residents famously fled in July 1777 as General John Burgoyne's army advanced from the north, returning after his defeat.
A grist mill built in 1777 became the nucleus of village development, particularly in East Poultney, where historic buildings including the 1780 Eagle Tavern and an 1805 Federal-style Baptist church still stand. The town later attracted national figures, including Horace Greeley, founder of the New York Tribune, who apprenticed at a local newspaper in the late 1820s. In the nineteenth century, slate mining became a major industry, drawing Welsh immigrants whose cultural influence persists in local pronunciations and traditions. Poultney shared this prosperity with the region's slate belt economy. Today, with a population of 3,020 at the 2020 census, Poultney maintains its historical character through two National Register Historic Districts and continues to reflect the legacy of its settlers and industries.
