Why Joe's Cash For Cars in Ocean City?

We Do It Right — Every Time

We Pay What We Quote — Guaranteed

Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Ocean City customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.

Scheduling Your Pickup in Ocean City

Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Ocean City or the surrounding Worcester County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.

We Handle All the Paperwork

Transferring a car in Maryland involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.

What Happens to Your Car

After we buy your vehicle in Ocean City, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Maryland environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

A Little About Ocean City

The Story of Ocean City, MD

Ocean City is an Atlantic resort town in Worcester County, Maryland, positioned along the East Coast of the United States. With a year-round population of 6,844 according to the 2020 census, the town transforms dramatically during summer months, hosting between 320,000 and 345,000 vacationers on peak weekends and welcoming up to eight million visitors annually. During these busy seasons, Ocean City becomes Maryland's second most populated municipality after Baltimore, requiring the addition of over 1,000 seasonal police officers plus extra firefighters and support workers.

The area that is now Ocean City was originally home to Indigenous peoples, including the Algonquian-speaking Assateague and Nanticoke peoples, for thousands of years before European colonization. In 1869, businessman Isaac Coffin built the first beach-front cottage to receive paying guests, marking the beginning of Ocean City's development as a resort destination. What had been called "The Ladies' Resort to the Ocean" before 1870 grew rapidly as prominent businessmen from surrounding regions invested in the area's potential. The Atlantic Hotel opened on July 4, 1875, as the town's first major hotel and remains in operation today under the ownership of the Purnell family since 1923.

Railroad connections transformed Ocean City into an accessible destination, with service arriving by 1881 via the Baltimore, Chesapeake and Atlantic Railroad. The formation of the Ocean City Inlet during a major hurricane in August 1933 ultimately benefited the town by establishing it as an important mid-Atlantic fishing port. Modern accessibility increased significantly following the completion of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in 1952 and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel in 1964, helping Ocean City become one of the largest vacation areas on the East Coast.
