A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Lone Tree, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Lone Tree — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Lone Tree customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Lone Tree or the surrounding Johnson County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Iowa involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Lone Tree, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Iowa environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Lone Tree is a city in southeastern Johnson County, Iowa, part of the Iowa City Metropolitan Statistical Area. With a population of 1,357 at the 2020 census, this small community encompasses 1.04 square miles and sits alongside Iowa Highway 22.
The city was platted in 1872 by John W. Jayne and takes its name from a remarkable giant elm tree that stood on a slight hill south of town during the pioneer era. This landmark tree was so large that local legend says buffalo grazed beneath its expansive branches. The elm survived prairie fires due to the lack of grass around its base, but it eventually succumbed to Dutch Elm disease in the 1960s. Despite efforts to save it, the tree was lost, though wood from it was used to create a sign marking its former location on the hill southeast of the city limits.
Lone Tree's modern history includes a tragic chapter from December 9, 1985, during the farm crisis of the 1980s. A local farmer named Dale Burr, overwhelmed by mounting debt, shot his wife Emily in their home before traveling to Hills Bank & Trust in the neighboring town of Hills. When his check was refused, he returned with a shotgun and fatally shot bank president John Hughes. He then attempted to confront his neighbor Richard Goody before being pulled over by Johnson County sheriffs, at which point he took his own life. This event was documented in Bruce Brown's book titled Lone Tree.
