If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Holt and the surrounding Ingham County area — running or not, any make, any model, free same-day towing.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Holt, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time. Same-day is usually available. We come right to you in Holt — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Holt customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we can usually get a truck out to you the same day — especially if you're anywhere in Holt or the surrounding Ingham County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Call before noon and we'll do everything we can to make it happen that afternoon.
Transferring a car in Michigan involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Holt, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Michigan environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Holt is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Ingham County, Michigan, located within Delhi Charter Township. The community sits south of Lansing, just below Interstate 96, positioned between US-127 and M-99. Nearby Mason lies about six miles southeast, while Dimondale is roughly six miles to the west. Holt occupies the majority of Delhi Charter Township and spans 15.87 square miles, making it the second most-populated census-designated place in Michigan and the fifth largest by area.
The area's history begins with its first permanent settlers, John Norris and Fred Luther, who arrived in 1837. By 1850, the township had grown to 402 residents, and by 1857, Delhi Center, as it was then known, supported a post office, hotel, tavern, and other businesses. The post office was renamed Holt in 1860 to avoid confusion with Delhi Mills in Washtenaw County, taking its name from Joseph Holt, the U.S. Postmaster General at that time. The northern section of present-day Holt was originally a separate area known as Five Corners or North Holt.
The community has experienced dramatic growth in recent decades. Between 2000 and 2020, the population more than doubled, rising from 11,315 to 25,625 residents. Geographically, Holt is notable for being home to Michigan's longest ancient glacial esker, stretching roughly twenty miles from south Lansing through Holt and extending just beyond Mason. Today, the community is served by Holt Public Schools and the Capital Area Transportation Authority's Route 8.
