If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Erwin and the surrounding Harnett County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Erwin, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Erwin — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Erwin customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Erwin or the surrounding Harnett County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in North Carolina involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Erwin, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all North Carolina environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Erwin is a town in eastern Harnett County, North Carolina, situated approximately five miles from Dunn and twenty miles from Fayetteville. As of the 2020 census, the town has a population of 5,270 and is part of the Dunn Micropolitan Statistical Area, which connects to the larger Raleigh-Durham-Cary region. Randy Baker has served as mayor since his election on May 17, 2022.
The area has deep historical roots. Before Erwin existed, a colonial-era settlement called Averasboro occupied the region, and the nearby Battle of Averasborough took place during the American Civil War. In 1902, the Duke family established the Erwin Cotton Mill, which became the catalyst for the town's founding. The new settlement was originally named Duke after its founding shareholders, but in 1925, residents changed the name to Erwin to distinguish it from Duke University in Durham. The cotton mill operated for nearly a century before closing on December 1, 2000, when Swift Textiles relocated operations to Mexico following the North American Free Trade Agreement. Today, Oak Grove, Averasboro Battlefield Historic District, and Downtown Erwin are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, preserving the town's heritage.
The Cape Fear River forms part of Erwin's western border, with Juniper Creek, a tributary to the Cape Fear River, flowing through town. The community is served by several highways, including US 421, NC 217, and NC 82, connecting residents to broader regional transportation networks. Campbell University and Central Carolina Community College provide higher education opportunities for residents.
