If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Colgate and the surrounding Washington County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Colgate, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Colgate — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Colgate customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Colgate or the surrounding Washington County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Wisconsin involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Colgate, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Wisconsin environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Colgate is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Wisconsin, straddling the border with Waukesha County and situated partially within the villages of Richfield and Lisbon. With a current population around 300, the community has grown substantially since 1983, when it had only about 50 residents. The area is characterized by significant waterways, including the Fox River, which rises in a small unnamed swamp just southeast of Colgate, and the Bark River, which originates to the north and flows southwesterly through the region. County Road Q, formerly known as Main Street, serves as the community's primary east-west route along the county line.
Originally called Colgate Station, the community was named after James Colgate, a construction engineer for the rail line that still passes through it. The post office, established January 11, 1887, became the community's most enduring institution. Throughout its history, Colgate experienced significant events, including two freight train collisions in 1901, devastating fires in 1902 and 1987, and an alleged 1934 sighting of a vehicle associated with the Dillinger Gang. The community gained statewide attention in 1967 when Kristin Williams of Colgate was crowned the twentieth Alice in Dairyland, prompting the largest parade the community had ever held. In recent decades, Colgate has also witnessed notable wildlife encounters, including turkey and cougar sightings. Today, the post office remains downtown Colgate's only non-residential establishment, operating as a Remotely Managed Post Office since 2013.
