If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Walker and the surrounding Cass County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Walker, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Walker — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Two questions. Tells you exactly where you stand.
Do you have the title in your name?
Is there still a loan or lien on the car?
This includes title loans, and any bank or lender listed as lienholder.
Clean title, no lien. Have the title, a photo ID, and the keys ready at pickup — our driver brings the rest of the paperwork.
Get my cash offerA missing title usually isn't a dealbreaker. Bring a photo ID and the vehicle registration if you have it. We handle no-title sales regularly — just tell us your situation when you call.
Get my cash offerA car with an active lien or title loan can't be sold until the lender releases it. Pay off the balance, get the lien release from your lender, and the title becomes yours to sell. Once that's done, give us a call — we'll buy it.
Look at the front of your title — if a bank or lender is printed in the lienholder section, there's a lien on the car. If you financed it and haven't paid it off, assume there is one. Still unsure? Call us and we'll work through it with you.
Call 619-762-2001Without the title in hand, the quickest way to know is to contact the lender you financed through, or request a title record from your state's motor vehicle office. If you never financed the car, there's almost certainly no lien. Call us and we'll help you sort it out.
Call 619-762-2001A missing or lost title doesn't stop you from selling your car in Walker. Title rules are set at the state level, and Minnesota has its own process for signing a car over, replacing a lost title, and selling when you're still making payments. When you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup — but if you want the full picture first, we put together a plain-English guide just for Minnesota.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Walker customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Walker or the surrounding Cass County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Minnesota involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Walker, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Minnesota environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Walker is the county seat of Cass County, Minnesota, with a population of 966 according to the 2020 census. The city sits on the southwest corner of Leech Lake, Minnesota's third-largest lake, and is part of the Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area. Three state highways—34, 200, and 371—serve as main routes through the city, and the Paul Bunyan State Trail passes through Walker along the lakeshore.
The area has a long human history, inhabited for thousands of years by indigenous peoples. The Ojibwe moved into the region from the Great Lakes before European American settlement. Patrick McGarry founded Walker in 1896 following the railroad's arrival, naming it after logging magnate Thomas B. Walker in hopes of attracting a sawmill operation. Though Walker chose to establish his operations in nearby Akeley instead, the city developed through the efforts of four other logging companies that generated business and employment.
In 1907, Walker became home to the Ah-Gwah-Ching Center, initially a tuberculosis treatment facility where patients received care through nutrition and rest. The facility grew to serve 300 patients by 1927 and featured its own farm, dairy herd, and railroad depot. During the Great Depression, it housed the state's largest WPA art collection. The complex, later adapted as a state nursing home for psychiatric patients, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and closed in 2008.
Tourism emerged as an important service industry in the twentieth century as people from urban areas sought recreation centered on lakes, fishing, hunting, and water sports. The city reached its population peak in 1950. Today, the Cass County Museum and research center, operated by the Cass County Historical Society, preserves and interprets the region's history.
