Talmoon is an unincorporated community in Itasca County, Minnesota, situated at the junction of State Highways 6 and 286, along with Itasca County Road 4. The community is nestled within the Chippewa National Forest and is home to a notable piece of Minnesota history: Hayslip's Corner, which houses what is recognized as the oldest bar in the state. The area's postal history reflects its evolving identity. A post office first opened in the community as Mack, operating from 1912 to 1938. It was then briefly renamed Hayslips Corner from 1938 to 1939 before becoming Talmoon, the name under which it operated until its closure in 1954.
