If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Sidney and the surrounding Cheyenne County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Sidney, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Sidney — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Sidney customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Sidney or the surrounding Cheyenne County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Nebraska involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Sidney, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Nebraska environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Sidney, the county seat of Cheyenne County in Nebraska's panhandle, sits nine miles north of the Colorado state line with a 2020 population of 6,410. Named after Sidney Dillon, president of the Union Pacific Railroad, the city was founded in 1867 around Fort Sidney, a military base established to protect the transcontinental railroad. Soldiers stationed there guarded against potential Native American attacks while the railroad brought economic growth through roundhouses, repair facilities, and passenger hotels. The city became an important hub on the Sidney Black Hills Stage Road in the late 1870s and 1880s, connecting travelers to destinations across the northern plains including Fort Robinson and Deadwood, South Dakota. Sidney's Boot Hill cemetery preserves the town's frontier heritage, with many soldiers from the fort among those buried there.
Strategically positioned at the junction of U.S. Route 385 and Interstate 80, roughly halfway between Cheyenne, Wyoming, and North Platte, Nebraska, Sidney developed into a major transportation service area. The city marks the transition between the Midwestern wheat-growing region to the east and cattle ranching lands to the west. Until 2017, Sidney was home to Cabela's world headquarters, which brought significant employment before the company's acquisition by Bass Pro Shops. More recently, wind farm development in the Nebraska Panhandle and adjacent Colorado areas has spurred additional growth, while truck stops, motels, and restaurants continue serving the Interstate 80 corridor.
