Sabetha is a city located in Brown and Nemaha counties in Kansas. Settlement of the town began around 1854, with its name reportedly derived from the word "Sabbath," the day the first settler arrived. The city was incorporated in 1874. The city hall building alone suffered two million dollars in damage.
