If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Putney and the surrounding Windham County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Putney, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Putney — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Putney customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Putney or the surrounding Windham County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Vermont involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Putney, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Vermont environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Putney is a town of about 2,617 people located in Windham County in southeastern Vermont, roughly ten miles north of Brattleboro. The town received its charter on December 26, 1753, when Governor Benning Wentworth issued it under the New Hampshire Grants, but significant settlement did not follow until after the French and Indian War ended in 1763. The town developed on a large plain west of the Connecticut River, with its main village forming around a falls on Sacketts Brook that provided water power for early mills. Because Putney lacked abundant water power resources, it largely escaped the Industrial Revolution of the mid-nineteenth century and remained predominantly rural. This rural character, combined with the town's most significant growth period from the late eighteenth to mid-nineteenth centuries, left Putney defined by Federal and Greek Revival architecture. The village's historic core is now recognized as the Putney Village Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, Putney is accessible via U.S. Route 5 and Interstate 91, with the closest Amtrak stations at Bellows Falls to the north and Brattleboro to the south. The town is also home to several educational institutions, including Landmark College, the first college exclusively serving students with learning disabilities.
