Why Ojibwa Residents Choose Joe's

There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.

Why Joe's Cash For Cars in Ojibwa?

We Do It Right — Every Time

We Pay What We Quote — Guaranteed

Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Ojibwa customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.

Scheduling Your Pickup in Ojibwa

Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Ojibwa or the surrounding Sawyer County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.

We Handle All the Paperwork

Transferring a car in Wisconsin involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.

What Happens to Your Car

After we buy your vehicle in Ojibwa, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Wisconsin environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

A Little About Ojibwa

The Story of Ojibwa, WI

Ojibwa is a town in Sawyer County, Wisconsin, situated on the banks of the Chippewa River at the junction of Highways 27 and 70. According to the 2000 census, the town had a population of 267 people spread across 51.4 square miles. The community's name was chosen by Ben F. Faast, an early real estate promoter, because of its proximity to the Chippewa River and the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation.

Like many Sawyer County settlements, Ojibwa experienced its most prosperous period between 1902 and 1920, strategically positioned between the timber tracts of four major lumber companies: the Couderay, Hines, Chippewa, and Arpin companies. Each company employed different methods to transport logs, from river transport to railroad shipping, but the logging industry proved short-lived in the area. Faast organized the Wisconsin Colonization Company, purchasing cut-over land and envisioning a thriving agricultural community. University of Wisconsin professor Frans Aust designed an ambitious village plan that included a zoo, park, boulevard, and designated residential and manufacturing zones. Though the scheme achieved only moderate success, settlers from various nationalities including Scandinavians, Polish, English, French, German, and Irish arrived to farm and work in logging camps. The Polish became the largest ethnic group, though most families eventually abandoned farming to seek factory work in cities. The first Lutheran Church was established, and an old schoolhouse called Crawford School was moved to the village in 1922, transported across the frozen Chippewa River in what would be the last time the river froze solid enough for such passage.
