Millersview is an unincorporated community in Concho County, Texas, and holds the distinction of being the only town by that name in the entire United States. The settlement was named in honor of Edward D. Miller, who co-founded the town alongside Henry Barr. A post office opened there in 1903 and served the community until the early 1990s, with the ZIP code 76862 still in use today.
The town experienced significant growth during its early decades. By 1914, Millersview had developed into a modest commercial center with three churches, three mercantile businesses, a grocer, a gin, and a grain, hay, and feed company, supporting a population of 160. The community continued to grow, reaching an estimated 300 residents by 1931. However, the population fluctuated considerably over the following decades, dropping to 100 by 1933 before rebounding to 250 by 1939. A severe Texas drought in the 1950s contributed to population decline, and by the 1970s, Millersview had stabilized at around 75 residents, a figure that remained consistent through 2000.
The community has weathered natural challenges, including two F0 tornadoes that struck the area on May 7, 1995, and May 30, 2012, though the latter caused no damage. Education has been central to Millersview's history, with the Mustang School being the first school in the area, followed by Millersview school. However, the high school closed after the 1957–1958 school year, and the elementary school shut down by 1989. Today, students attend schools in nearby Eden through the Paint Rock Independent School District.
