If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Manhattan and the surrounding Riley County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Manhattan, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Manhattan — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Manhattan customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Manhattan or the surrounding Riley County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Kansas involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Manhattan, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Kansas environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Manhattan is the county seat of Riley County, Kansas, located in the northeastern part of the state at the junction of the Kansas River and Big Blue River. With a population of 54,100 according to the 2020 census, the city extends into both Riley and Pottawatomie counties.
Before European-American settlement in the 1850s, the area was home to the Kaw people, also known as the Kansa, who lived in Blue Earth Village from 1780 to 1830. The Kaw ceded the land through a treaty signed in 1846. Following the Kansas-Nebraska Act in 1854, settlers began arriving, and in 1855, a group of New England Free-Staters led by Isaac Goodnow founded a Free-State town on the combined claims of earlier settlements. When Ohio settlers aboard the paddle steamer Hartford arrived unexpectedly that June, they joined the community on the condition it be renamed Manhattan, which officially occurred on June 29, 1855.
Manhattan developed rapidly as a Free-State settlement during the Bleeding Kansas era, protected from major violence by nearby Fort Riley. The town was designated Riley County's county seat in 1858, and that same year Blue Mont Central College was chartered. Isaac Goodnow's vision of a state university came to fruition in 1863 when the Kansas legislature established Kansas State Agricultural College, now Kansas State University, making it the nation's first land-grant institution under the Morrill Act and only the second public college to admit women and men equally. The arrival of the Kansas Pacific Railroad in 1866 further solidified Manhattan's growth. Today, as home to Kansas State University, Manhattan is nicknamed "the Little Apple," a playful reference to New York City's "Big Apple."
