If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Lapoint and the surrounding Uintah County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Lapoint, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Lapoint — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Lapoint customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Lapoint or the surrounding Uintah County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Utah involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Lapoint, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Utah environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Lapoint is a small unincorporated community in western Uintah County, Utah, situated within the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation and west of Vernal, the county seat. Located along State Route 121 at an elevation of 5,568 feet, the community takes its name from its geographic position on a southward-jutting spur or point of the Uinta Mountains. Originally called Taft in honor of President William Howard Taft, the name was changed to reflect this distinctive landscape feature. Deep Creek, a tributary of the Uinta River, flows southwest through the area. Though unincorporated, Lapoint maintains a post office under ZIP code 84039 and had a population of 170 residents according to the 2020 census. The community experiences a semi-arid climate.
Lapoint has notable connections to both modern and ancient history. The area produced Lane Frost, a world champion professional rodeo bull rider and hall of fame inductee, as well as basketball center Shawn Bradley. More significantly, Lapoint was built atop Caldwell Village, an important Fremont archaeological site excavated in 1966 by John Richard Ambler. The site contained twenty-two pithouses, numerous pits, human and animal burials, and thousands of artifacts including pottery sherds, stone tools, and bone implements. While a charred roof timber dated to 520 AD, pottery traditions suggest occupation between 1050 and 1200 AD. Agricultural plowing has since destroyed the surface, leaving no visible remains today.
