If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Kite and the surrounding Johnson County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Kite, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Kite — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Kite customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Kite or the surrounding Johnson County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Georgia involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Kite, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Georgia environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Kite is a small city situated in eastern Johnson County, Georgia, along the Little Ohoopee River. Named after Shaderick Kight, who generously donated the land for the town's establishment, Kite was formally incorporated by the Georgia General Assembly in 1891. Kight himself requested a simpler spelling of his surname for the town's name, believing the change would make mail delivery and processing more efficient during those early years.
Positioned at the intersection of U.S. Route 221 and Georgia State Route 57, Kite serves as a modest crossroads community. U.S. Route 221, which runs through the center of town as Montgomery Street, connects the city to larger nearby communities, lying fourteen miles north of Bartow and twenty-five miles south of Soperton. Georgia State Route 57, also known locally as Kight Road, provides access westward to Wrightsville, the Johnson County seat, and southeast toward Swainsboro.
With a total area of just 0.81 square miles, Kite remains intimate in scale. The city experienced significant population changes over the past two decades. The 2000 census recorded 241 residents living in 108 households, but by 2020, the population had declined to 160. Despite its small size, Kite maintains its place as a historic Georgia community, preserving the legacy of its founder and continuing as part of Johnson County's rural character.
