Kimball Township is a civil township located in St. Clair County, Michigan, with a population of 9,609 according to the 2020 census. The township encompasses 37.5 square miles and contains several unincorporated communities, each with its own distinctive history.
The community of Kimball, situated near the township's center, began when Barzillai Wheeler and John S. Kimball arrived around 1840, though land purchases in the area date back to 1825. When the township was officially organized in 1855, it took its name from Kimball.
