There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.

Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
That whole process hinges on one thing: your paperwork. Before you call, take ten seconds to see exactly where you stand — two quick questions is all it takes.
Do you have the title in your name?
Is there still a loan or lien on the car?
This includes title loans, and any bank or lender listed as lienholder.
Clean title, no lien. Have the title, a photo ID, and the keys ready at pickup — our driver brings the rest of the paperwork.
Get my cash offerA missing title usually isn't a dealbreaker. Bring a photo ID and the vehicle registration if you have it. We handle no-title sales regularly — just tell us your situation when you call.
Get my cash offerA car with an active lien or title loan can't be sold until the lender releases it. Pay off the balance, get the lien release from your lender, and the title becomes yours to sell. Once that's done, give us a call — we'll buy it.
Look at the front of your title — if a bank or lender is printed in the lienholder section, there's a lien on the car. If you financed it and haven't paid it off, assume there is one. Still unsure? Call us and we'll work through it with you.
Call 619-762-2001Without the title in hand, the quickest way to know is to contact the lender you financed through, or request a title record from your state's motor vehicle office. If you never financed the car, there's almost certainly no lien. Call us and we'll help you sort it out.
Call 619-762-2001A missing or lost title doesn't stop you from selling your car in Karns. Title rules are set at the state level, and Tennessee has its own process for signing a car over, replacing a lost title, and selling when you're still making payments. When you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup — but if you want the full picture first, we put together a plain-English guide just for Tennessee.
Paperwork sorted, the only real question left is who to trust with the sale. Here's what sets us apart from the buyers who quote high on the phone and shrink the number the moment they show up in Karns.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Karns customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Karns or the surrounding Knox County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Tennessee involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Karns, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Tennessee environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.
Don't just take our word for it — here's what people across Knox County say after we've bought and hauled off their cars.
"Called at 10am and had cash in my hand by 1pm the same day. My 2006 Civic had been sitting dead for two years. These guys were fast, professional, and paid exactly what they quoted — not a penny less."
"I had no title and thought nobody would take it. They walked me through the whole process, it wasn't a problem at all, and I got $800 for a car I thought was worthless. Wish I'd called months ago."
"Every other buyer wanted to inspect it first and then dropped their offer by $400 at pickup. Joe's gave me a firm number on the phone and showed up with exactly that. Zero games. That's all I needed."

Still weighing it up? These are the questions Karns sellers ask us most — straight answers, no fine print.
Karns is an unincorporated community and census-designated place located in northwest Knox County, Tennessee, approximately eleven miles northwest of downtown Knoxville. Situated in the Beaver Creek Valley between Beaver Ridge and Copper Ridge, this area sits at elevations ranging from about nine hundred sixty to one thousand feet above sea level, with Beaver Creek, a tributary of the Clinch River, flowing through the community. The 2020 census recorded a population of three thousand five hundred thirty-six residents.
The community's name reflects its educational heritage. Originally called Beaver Ridge, the area adopted its present name in honor of Professor Thomas Conner Karns, the first Superintendent of Public Instruction for Knox County, when the first high school building was erected there in nineteen thirteen. The community officially changed its name from Beaver Ridge to Karns in the nineteen fifties.
Karns has transformed significantly over time, evolving from primarily a farming area into a residential and commercial community. Today, mixed among remaining farms and pastures are subdivisions, small businesses, schools, and light industry, including Unitrac Railroad Materials, a manufacturer of railroad components. The Knox County Schools system operates numerous schools serving the Karns area and surrounding communities, including Karns High School and the newer Hardin Valley Academy, which opened in two thousand eight. Public services include a Knox County library branch, a post office, fire protection from multiple stations across a sixty-five-square-mile service area, and law enforcement through the Knox County Sheriff's Department.
