If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Holden Beach and the surrounding Brunswick County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Holden Beach, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Holden Beach — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Two questions. Tells you exactly where you stand.
Do you have the title in your name?
Is there still a loan or lien on the car?
This includes title loans, and any bank or lender listed as lienholder.
Clean title, no lien. Have the title, a photo ID, and the keys ready at pickup — our driver brings the rest of the paperwork.
Get my cash offerA missing title usually isn't a dealbreaker. Bring a photo ID and the vehicle registration if you have it. We handle no-title sales regularly — just tell us your situation when you call.
Get my cash offerA car with an active lien or title loan can't be sold until the lender releases it. Pay off the balance, get the lien release from your lender, and the title becomes yours to sell. Once that's done, give us a call — we'll buy it.
Look at the front of your title — if a bank or lender is printed in the lienholder section, there's a lien on the car. If you financed it and haven't paid it off, assume there is one. Still unsure? Call us and we'll work through it with you.
Call 619-762-2001Without the title in hand, the quickest way to know is to contact the lender you financed through, or request a title record from your state's motor vehicle office. If you never financed the car, there's almost certainly no lien. Call us and we'll help you sort it out.
Call 619-762-2001A missing or lost title doesn't stop you from selling your car in Holden Beach. Title rules are set at the state level, and North Carolina has its own process for signing a car over, replacing a lost title, and selling when you're still making payments. When you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup — but if you want the full picture first, we put together a plain-English guide just for North Carolina.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Holden Beach customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Holden Beach or the surrounding Brunswick County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in North Carolina involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Holden Beach, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all North Carolina environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Holden Beach is a seaside town in Brunswick County, North Carolina, situated on an eight-mile-long barrier island in the Atlantic Ocean. As of the 2020 census, the town had a population of 921 and is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town occupies 3.4 square miles, connected to the mainland by North Carolina Highway 130, which lies about ten miles northwest of Shallotte.
The area's history stretches back before the American Revolution, when early settlers received land grants from Royal Governor Arthur Dobbs. In 1756, Benjamin Holden purchased mainland tracts and the island between his plantation and the ocean, using it for fishing and cattle grazing. His grandson John Holden started a commercial fishery and in 1924 surveyed the first subdivision of beach property in Brunswick County, which he named Holden Beach Resort. John built a bridge in 1925 and negotiated for a public ferry, which began operation in 1934 after his death. John's son Luther became a permanent resident in 1946, and Luther's son John F. Holden began developing homes for vacationers, launching Holden Beach's transformation into a resort destination. By 1954, the island had about 300 homes, though destructive Hurricane Hazel that year slowed rebuilding efforts. The town was officially incorporated on February 14, 1969. A new high-rise bridge dedicated in 1986 improved access as the island's population grew to more than 1,900 homes. The interdenominational Holden Beach Chapel, which began in the 1940s, serves residents and visitors year-round.
