If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Groveland and the surrounding Livingston County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Groveland, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Groveland — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Groveland customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Groveland or the surrounding Livingston County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in New York involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Groveland, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all New York environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Groveland is a town in Livingston County, New York, located south of Geneseo with a population of 2,409 according to the 2020 census. The area holds significant historical importance dating back to the American Revolution, when the Sullivan Expedition of 1779 reached its farthest extent in Groveland, which was also the site of the Boyd and Parker ambush. European American settlement came in 1792 with the establishment of "Willamsburgh," the first planned settlement in Livingston County, named after land speculator Sir William Pulteney. Groveland itself was formed in 1789 as part of Ontario County before becoming part of Livingston County when it was established in 1821.
The town's nineteenth-century history includes a notable Shaker community. The Groveland Shaker Village was established in 1836 on a 1,700-acre farm at the hamlet of Sonyea, reaching a peak population of 148 members that same year after relocating from Sodus. The community sold the property in 1892 due to declining membership and moved to Watervliet. The former Shaker buildings and land subsequently became the Craig Colony for Epileptics in 1896 and eventually became part of the Groveland Correctional Facility. Several sites in Groveland have earned recognition on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Claud No. 1 Archeological Site added in 1975 and the Boyd and Parker Park and Groveland Ambuscade added in 2009.
