If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Greensburg and the surrounding Kiowa County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Greensburg, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Greensburg — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Greensburg customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Greensburg or the surrounding Kiowa County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Kansas involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Greensburg, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Kansas environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Greensburg is the county seat of Kiowa County, Kansas, and home to the world's largest hand-dug well. The city was established in 1885 and named after D.R. "Cannonball" Green, who owned a stagecoach company and helped found the settlement. Construction of the Big Well began in 1887 and was completed by 1888, the same year Greensburg earned recognition as the "liveliest town in the state." The well ceased serving as a water source in 1932 and was converted into a tourist attraction in 1937 before being declared a national museum in 1972. The area has also been noted for significant geological finds, including one of the largest pallasite meteorites ever discovered, which was found nearby in 1949 and weighed over 1,000 pounds.
The city's modern history was dramatically shaped by an EF5 tornado that struck on May 4, 2007, devastating 95 percent of Greensburg and killing eleven people. The disaster prompted the community to rebuild as a "green" city, with the city council becoming the first in the nation to require all municipal buildings meet LEED platinum standards. The city now generates power through ten wind turbines, with carbon offsets purchased by major companies including Ben & Jerry's and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. Despite these efforts, the population declined significantly following the tornado, from approximately 1,400 before the disaster to 740 as of the 2020 census.
