If you've got a car sitting in your driveway that you don't want anymore, the hardest part is over — you've already decided to let it go. Joe's Cash For Cars makes everything after that as simple as it gets. You call, we make you an offer, you say yes, we show up and pay you on the spot. That's it.
We buy cars for cash all over Covington and the surrounding Kenton County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
A lot of people assume their old car isn't worth much — especially if it doesn't run, has body damage, or has been sitting for a while. But we buy cars in every kind of condition, and we almost always pay more than people expect. Give us a call at 619-762-2001 and find out exactly what your car is worth.
There's no shortage of people who claim they'll buy your car — but a lot of them will lowball you, ghost you after the inspection, or show up with a completely different number than what they quoted. We don't operate that way.
We service every part of Covington, including:
Three steps from your first call to getting paid. No runaround, no hidden fees.
Tell us your car's year, make, model, and condition. We give you a real offer in under two minutes — no callbacks, no pressure.
Accept the offer and pick a time that works for you — often the same day or next. We come right to you in Covington — home, work, wherever. You don't move an inch.
Our driver brings all the paperwork, handles the tow, and pays you before they leave. Under 30 minutes, start to finish.
Some car-buying services quote you high to get you interested, then the driver shows up and suddenly there's a problem with the catalytic converter or the transmission mounts and the offer drops by $300. We've heard this story from Covington customers dozens of times. Our quote is based on an honest assessment, and that's the number we show up with — period.
Once you accept your offer, we'll set up a pickup time that works for you — often the same day or next day, especially if you're anywhere in Covington or the surrounding Kenton County area. We run routes here regularly, so scheduling is rarely an issue. Give us a call and we'll lock in a time.
Transferring a car in Kentucky involves more forms than most people expect — especially if the title isn't straightforward or there's an outstanding loan. Our drivers carry everything, know the process cold, and make sure it's all done correctly so you're not on the hook for anything down the road.
After we buy your vehicle in Covington, it's either resold, parted out, or recycled through licensed facilities that meet all Kentucky environmental regulations. We never abandon vehicles or dump them — every car we buy is handled responsibly.

Covington is the largest city in Northern Kentucky and the fifth-most populous in the state, with a 2020 population of 40,691. Located in Kenton County at the confluence of the Ohio and Licking rivers, it sits directly across from Cincinnati, Ohio. The city serves as one of two county seats alongside Independence and operates as a home-rule class city under Kentucky law.
Founded in 1815 by John Gano, Richard Gano, and Thomas Carneal, who purchased 150 acres called The Point and laid out the settlement, Covington was named to honor General Leonard Covington, who died at the Battle of Crysler's Farm during the War of 1812. Formally incorporated in 1816, the city achieved city status in 1834. The city flourished as a major center for tobacco and cigar production, and in 1862, Stewart Iron Works was established there, becoming for a time the world's largest manufacturer of iron fences.
Waves of Catholic and German immigrants staffed Covington's factories, distilleries, glassworks, and stove factories, with the city eventually establishing its own Catholic diocese. By 1900, Covington ranked as Kentucky's second-largest city and industrial region, with connections to major rail lines and steamboat service on the Ohio River. The city even hosted a Federal League baseball team, the Covington Blue Sox, in 1913. Like many industrial centers, Covington declined through the Great Depression and mid-twentieth century but has experienced redevelopment in recent decades as the most populous city in Kenton County.
